Happy New Year! (+ GOALS update)

Happy New Year everyone! I had a relatively quiet night with two friends - we even finished off the night with a cup of tea. ;)
Though we didn't party hard, I was with two of the best people in the world, and I daresay we are all feeling pretty good today, unlike many.

Now that it's 2015, I guess I should be deciding what I'm going to do with this year in terms of goals. But right now I am just going to focus on non-creative goals I want to achieve before I go back to work on Jan 12th.

These are my current goals:

  1. Sort out what's in my garage ... other than 2 foster cats who are in there. ;) Don't need to sort them out just yet!
  2. Buy a new pair of sneakers ... so I can start up my beach walks again.
  3. Get emotionally prepared to sell my car.

Those will do for now. :)

  2. Yup, sometimes, life needs to get sorted out first. Have a great year!

    1. Yep... I moved in about 1.5 yrs ago and still haven't sorted out all my 'boxes'. hehe

  3. I need to be prepping my garden, planting my seeds indoors so that they'll be ready to go in the ground in March, putting the finishing touches on my rough draft, writing a query and synopsis, and hunker down to write my next rough draft. Wow. Made me tired just typing it.

Sorting out the garage doesn't sound fun, but I'm sure you'll be pleased with the results!

  5. Hi Trisha .. selling your car - that sounds 'serious' ... and will be sad by the sound of it ...

Sorting the garage, and fostering the cats some more - all sounds good ...

A peaceful time I had too .. the way to go and without worrying about Jan the first ... the head was clear.

Love your tulips .. heralding things to come here, as I sit in sunshine at the moment .. .it's warm through the glass!! Cheers and all the best in 2015 .. .Hilary

    1. It's very silly but I feel like I'm selling off a child by getting rid of my car. :P I was really sad when I had to say goodbye to my very crappy first car, which was on its last legs. But I'm sure I'll quickly grow to love my new car when it arrives. ;)

  9. Ooo, digging through stuff is always fun. You find so many cool things, and remember stories (or learn them), and I always come away with plotbunnies.

    1. That's true! My problem is I will often dig through stuff and want to keep it all. Even if it's a scrap of paper with a little bit of poem on it or something. :P

  12. Happy New Year, Trisha! I'm not a party animal either. Quiet nights with special people are the best.

    1. Thanks, Vanessa - and I agree, the quiet nights are the best, especially the next morning when your head doesn't hurt. ;)
